Macaroons @ G patisserie

Walked past Patisserie G at Millenia walk and decided to check out their Macaroons. Ain't cheap though at $3 / piece. But definitely worth every cent! I ordered the salted caramel and you can really taste the flavours bursting in each bite. The crust(?) of the macaroon melts in your mouth and you can taste the sea salt and caramel flavours. The lychee rose was pretty good too. I just thought that the sea salt hazelnut wasn't as good as the sea salt caramel, both are good just that the caramel one is better ;)

Well, I will definitely be back and this is a wonderful after gym treat to have!

Red Velvet Cupcake - Marmalade Pantry @ Ion

I love red velvet cakes. Ever since I tried my first one at Food For Thought, I was addicted to it. I walked past Marmalade Pantry @ Ion and saw that they offered the Red Velvet Cupcake and absolutely had to get it. Their version of cupcake actually had real coconut shavings on top of it and it was absolutely delectable. Super love it. I devoured the entire cupcake with my dessert date. Think the cupcake only cost $4.50 and it was super worth every cent.

Will definitely be back!

Chocolate Devotion @ TCC Bugis

Cheat day today and I decided to indulge in some chocolate lava cake. Went to TCC at Bugis and ordered their chocolate devotion - approx $12. It is so good, the moment you slice open the cake, the molten chocolate inside actually flows out in a gush. I'm not kidding! Most of the molten cakes that I've had were pretty dismal, even the one at Morton's ($38 mind you) didn't ooze out of the cake much.

Am very pleased with this particular one that I had at Bugis, will definitely be back :D

Creamz @ Clementi Road

Went for some dessert at this little unassuming corner shop, Creamz, along the end of Clementi Road nearer to West Coast Park. We ordered the waffle + 2 scoops of icecream. The Sea Salt Caramel and Cookies and cream. Totally, absolutely loved the icecream. The waffle was a very well done crispy and melt in the mouth goodness, paired with rich and yummy icecream drenched in chocolate sauce. I practically wolfed the entire thing down and bought another tub of icecream home. The above cost us around $9.

They also have interesting flavors like Kaya. Go have a taste and see what fancies you. Well worth every single calorie I must say, will definitely be back to try the other flavors.

Fruit Paradise @ Vivocity

Went to fruit paradise at Vivocity for some desserts. Ordered the seasonal fruit with cheese base (S$7.80) and the strawberry chocolate (S$7.80) with bitter chocolate base. Fruits were so fresh and absolutely delectable. Although the queue was pretty long, it cleared quite fast as most people just ate and left.

Do try the fruit teas when you visit, very very yummy tasting teas. Will definitely be back again!

Nutella tart @ Everything With Fries

Nutella tart at Everything with fries is EPIC! Very generous nutella chocolate topping in a tart. $6.90 only! Top it up with $2 of vanilla ice cream and I guarantee that you will be in heaven. This is one of my favourite desserts. Super happy.

Definitely worth the calories and price!

Jco's frozen yogurt

I love my frozen yogurt dessert. It's the next best thing to ice cream. If you guys have been following this blog, I am a huge fan of the frozen yogurt and have tried quite a no. of them from all over Singapore. Today I walked past J.Co at raffles city and saw that they had this frozen yogurt section and immediately zoomed right into it after dinner. I ordered the yogurt with 3 toppings ($5 or less I think), chose chocolate drops, almond chips and mandarin orange as the topping. Super yummy, it was like having an orange chocolate treat.

You can't really go too wrong with frozen yogurt. Will come back again!

Frozen Yogurt at Coffee Bean

Did you know that Coffee Bean actually has frozen yogurt and it actually tastes pretty good? Super yum. A small cup (pictured above) goes at $3.80 and comes in 2 flavours - tart and vanilla. The former tastes more like the natural flavour of yogurt while the latter is ... vanilla flavoured soft serve. They have a few fancy options, adding in an expresso, mixing with matcha and things like that. After eating so many times at Coffee Bean, I conclude that I love the plain flavours the most and I really like the yogurt parfait. (will post a picture of it soon)

A little tip - try it with the banana walnut cake. Goes really really well, the walnut cake is light and not too creamy, the cold yogurt complements it and adds an extra dimension to the cake.

Super yum!

Sesame Seed Paste and Beancurd Combo

Went to honeymoon dessert at 311 somerset for some dessert. I was attracted tot heir sesame seed paste and beancurd combination thing. Taste was pretty good. Sesame seed paste was smooth and fragrant, beancurd was soft and tasty. The only thing that could have been improved was of course the presentation. It is kinda different from the picture on the menu and the actual dessert itself. Other than that, it was a nice chill out dessert place.

We ordered 2 desserts and in total, spent less than $8 only. Pretty nice place to hang out after a meal and create some sweet endings to the day. Will be back again!

Waffles at Ben & Jerry's @ Cathay

Had 4 scoops of icecream. Yum yum. $22. Well 6 of us were sharing, so it wasn't all that sinful. The only disappointment was that the waffle wasn't very nice, not crispy at all and just soggy. The last time I ordered some hot fudge brownie from B&Js wasn't too impressive either. Sigh, seems like they better just stick to their icecream. Ended up leaving the waffle on the plate while we finished up the icecream.

Lovely Birthday Cake

I'm really amazed by the kind of birthday cakes that kids get nowadays. Very elaborate and pretty. Look at the detail in this Sesame street birthday cake, it makes one really happy just looking at it. This was a birthday cake for my nephew (yes I'm an aunt already geez lol) and the kids all couldn't wait to get their hands on it.

Happy 1st Birthday, Joseph!

Flower of the Sea @ Canele Paragon

Went to Canele for desserts with the girls. We ordered the "Flower of the sea" crepe and I must say it was to die for. Nutella, fleur de sel caramel, caramelized filo, ice cream and cream chantilly. $15 and calories was the most well spent that evening. Amazing amazing. I loved it a lot and didn't really care much about the calories. Sweet savoury crepe that was well matched with the fresh cream and icecream. The filo was very nice and melted in our mouths almost immediately. Even as I am typing this I am still salivating. LOL.

Ok, looks like I will definitely be back!

Lao Ban Dou Hua

Brother was raving about lao ban soya beancurd and said that he would get a portion for me to try the next time he goes. He brought one back. Very interesting soya beancurd, it feels like some kind of soya custard as opposed to the standard beancurd. The custard is made alongside with the sugar syrup so the mixture is sweet in itself. It was kinda nice but I feel that it is too sweet for me and I felt kinda guilty chugging half of it down.

Normally I would simply just eat the top portion of the beancurd and leave the sugar syrup at the bottom. That said, I was rather impressed by the texture as it was milky and soft. Would go for it again, but I will definitely need to share a portion with a dessert partner.

NYDC@Holland Village - Goldmine Cheesecake Combo

It is ladies night at NYDC on Wednesday. Ladies get to order a combo dessert + drink at only $8.80. The combo comes along with a scoop of icecream. Today I ordered the Goldmine cheesecake combo. I thought it was just going to be a simple cheesecake and icecream thing. Boy was I wrong! First, the scoop of icecream was humongous. It was even bigger than the slice of cheesecake. Second, there was this flask of chocolate sauce that you drizzle all over the cheesecake. It was just H-E-A-V-E-N-L-Y.

The entire table were like woohing and ahhing as we poured the chocolate thing over the icecream and cake. So sinfully good. It's crazy, it's like immediate death to your diet. So decadent. Please share it with at least 3 other people or your hips are so going to pay for it.

Dark Devotion at TCC

Had a craving for some sweets after dinner and decide to drop by TCC @ Great World City to have some cake. We ordered the Dark Devotion (S$12 including tax) - chocolate lava cake that's supposed to ooze chocolate out from its core. Well, the chocolate did ooze out as promised, one of the better ones around but I still prefer the chocolate lava cake from Bakerzin and Morton's. Yes Morton's steakhouse. All in all, it's a comfort dessert for a friday night.

Yigloo @ Vivocity

This is one of my favourite frozen yogurt. Flavour is great, pricing is good ($5 for a medium size) and you get free toppings (1 serve). I usually go for their cookies and cream and a fruit based one. Their flavours change every week to tantalize our taste buds. Somehow they have made their yogurt to taste almost like icecream. Fat free way to enjoy your desserts. (Not so sure if it's low calorie tho since it's sweet :P)

edit: Seems like they have shifted out of vivocity. I last spotted them at the basement of plaza singapura, I'll need to verify.

Giant chocolate eclair @ PS cafe

Well well, when you go to PS cafe you have to try their desserts. One thing to note though, everything is king sized.

Check out my favourite dessert - the giant eclair. The pastry (do you call it pastry?) was perfect and chocolate wasn't too sweet. Paired with the white creamy filling was just a match made in heaven. Vanilla ice cream on the side to top it off. Will have it again, but only after I've saved up those calories!

Strawberries & cream from Big Red Strawberry Farm @ Cameron Highlands

Big red strawberry farm's strawberries and cream. Extremely fresh and sweet organic strawberries grown right at their farm in cameron highlands. Though it was a mountain of whipped cream but it balanced really well with the strawberries and syrup. Sinful
but worth it.

Cost: RM 7 I think
