Grandfather was in Singapore so uncle decided to bring us all to Thien Kee Steamboat at Golden Mile Complex. They serve traditional Hainanese fare and when my dad and uncles were young, grandfather used to bring them here hence my uncle thought it was a good idea to bring grandpa back here.
The chicken is a must try as the sauce is really yummy and chicken meat is succulent. Their chili sauce is special and you mix it in with the ginger sauce that they provide on the side. I think they used the broth from cooking the chicken so the steamboat was pretty wholesome. Just some good ol' comfort hainanese food for a sunday.
